Testing a new email campaign feature

The Challenge

Email Campaigns, a new organizational feature that contained a dynamic email building tool, campaign database, and segmenting tool was robust and we knew that it needed to be tested with users before going in to development.

Goals

  • A user can successfully create, export, schedule and send an email campaign

  • Do they understand what a segment is? Can they create and save one?

  • Can they do these tasks in a reasonable amount of time?

  • Does the UI and visual design effectively allow ease of use?

The Tools

This feature requested by the client, needed a lot of power. Similar to platforms like Mailchimp, this feature would allow users to use this vital operational tool on platform.

Tech proficiency among Uncommon Good's user base skewed on the lower end so these tools needed to do some heavy lifting.

Features:

  • An easy to use email building tool

  • The ability to segment audiences while building and as a stand-alone tool

  • A database to track and organize campaigns

  • Integrate with Mailchimp and Constant Contact to bring contacts in

I'm working hard on completing this case study for you!
In the meantime, check out some other work.
